Daniel Velazquez

Daniel Velazquez is an oil painter based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Drawing from a professional background in civil engineering, his practice is rooted in a unique understanding of structural logic and presence — a way of attending carefully to the world as it actually appears: the quality of afternoon light, the weight of atmosphere, and the particular geometry of shadow.

Working primarily in oils on canvas and wood panel, his paintings move between landscape, figurative, and still life subjects. An impressionistic technique builds surface through layered marks, allowing each piece to vibrate with energy while maintaining an overall sense of quiet observation.

Each work is a unique original — hand-painted, one of a kind. No prints, no reproductions. When you acquire a piece, you receive a work made with complete attention and care, along with a certificate of authenticity.
